SEATTLE June 7, 2023 - Upstream, a non-profit sparking innovative solutions to plastic pollution, officially announces the winners of the Third Annual Reuse Awards, The Reusies® 2023. The Reusies is an innovative awards program honoring changemakers developing a better way than throw-away, advancing systemic change and co-creating a world where we can get what we need and want without all the waste.

The Reusies received hundreds of nominations and submissions from leading startups, environmental activists and community leaders across the United States and Canada that are growing the reuse movement.

“We’re so impressed by all of the applicants, finalists, and winners this year. Year over year, our honored judges have had an increasingly difficult task in selecting award recipients,” said Priscilla Johnson, Chief Strategy Officer at Upstream. “It’s a testament to the strength and rapid growth of the reuse movement.”

For the first time since its debut in 2021, The Reusies was held live, in person at Circularity 23, the leading convening of professionals building the circular economy, hosted by GreenBiz Group—as well live-streamed to audiences around the world.
