Reuse Funding Tracker
Welcome to Upstream’s new and improved Reuse Funding Tracker!
The funding tracker monitors incentives and grants offered by municipalities, states/provinces, federal governments and private sources that could be used to support projects related to source reduction of disposable packaging and foodware.
This tracker focuses on opportunities within the United States and Canada. While it primarily highlights funding opportunities specifically for waste reduction and reuse, the tracker also includes funding programs that encompass broader initiatives aimed at promoting environmental stewardship, environmental projects, or waste management.
By collecting these diverse opportunities, we hope to expand the options available to those seeking funding for reuse.
This is an open source tracker. If there is a grant or incentive that you realize is missing, please use the submission form in the tracker to let us know about it.
Tips and tricks for using the new tracker
New! The tracker contains a “date last updated column” that you can sort by, so you can see the most recent opportunities we’ve added.
Other new filters and information provided:
Country and State/Province filter
Application open and close dates (please note: this changes often, so it is best to get information directly from the funder)
A “reuse-specific” checkmark to indicate if a funding opportunity explicitly mentions reuse.
You can narrow results by using the search bar to look for terms like "dishwasher", "EPA", "rebate", "Austin", etc.
It’s important to always refer directly to the funder website to learn more about a grant, as we might not have the most up-to-date information.
