Toolkit: A Guide to Sustainable Serviceware for Restaurants and Food Prep Businesses (2023)

As of January 1, 2024, restaurants and food prep businesses in Colorado will be required to comply with Colorado's Plastic Pollution Reduction Act (House Bill 21-1162). This guide helps restaurants and food establishments meet the requirement of Colorado’s new law and navigate serviceware choices with environmental and cost considerations in mind. The guide places a heavy emphasis on prioritizing foodware reduction and reuse.
