Incredible Reusables Resource Launches for SF Restaurants!

An impressive new educational reusables campaign has launched in San Francisco and surrounding areas, along with an extensive compilation of resources for Bay Area food service operators. The goal? To demonstrate to thousands of local food service businesses why switching to reusable foodware can be one of the best decisions they make for the planet, their customers, and their own bottom line.

Check it out!

The campaign kicked off with a livestream featuring local restaurant owners who have made great progress integrating reusable foodware into their dine-in and take-out operations, hosted by Marica Gagliard, beloved restaurant columnist of tablehopper. You can view it from the website or right here.

The site also contains statistics on cost savings, real-world case studies of restaurants that switched to reusables, a directory of reusable businesses, information on the safety of reusables when it comes to COVID (spoiler alert: 100% safe!), and much more.

Perhaps most importantly, it encourages food service operators to take advantage of an important resource in ReThink Disposable. This nonprofit offers free expert assistance for food service operators to help them switch to reusables. It has helped over 250 Bay Area restaurants achieve between $3,000-$22,000 annually in savings, while preventing literal tons of waste from entering streets, landfills, and waterways.

If you run a San Francisco Bay Area food business, please take a look at and bookmark this one-of-a-kind resource and consider contacting ReThink Disposable. For anyone else who would like to be a part of the campaign, help spread the word using the social media toolkit provided on the resource page.
