Vytal: University of Antwerp

Since 2023, dining concessionaire komida, in partnership with Vytal, have built reuse infrastructure across the University of Antwerp — from canteens and cafeterias to self-service coffee stations. They began by introducing reusable bowls for hot meals, salads, and desserts across all canteens and cafeterias. In 2024, they launched a pilot project with RFID dispensers and return stations at two self-service coffee locations to test frictionless issuance and returns. In 2025-2026, after validation, all self-service coffee stations were equipped with CircleCube return machines and Vytal reusable cups. The university is now 100% reusable for coffee.
