StopWaste: Peerless Coffee & Tea

Peerless Coffee & Tea in Oakland, CA has 80 employees who roast and package custom coffee blends in a 25,000 square foot facility, delivering directly to East Bay hotels and restaurants. They replaced their recurring purchase of 3,000 cardboard boxes each year with a one time purchase of reusable plastic totes with help from a $5,000 StopWaste grant. The totes are used for three Bay Area delivery routes and returned to the facility for reuse.
